Special Event with Garth Lenz

"An Artist's Path: Beauty from Ashes"

Gallery Tour and Talk with Garth Lenz

Introduction by Guest Curator, Glenn Ruga

Free and Open to the Public

What does environmental devastation actually look like and how does a photographer create something beautiful  and meaningful out of that chaos...from the air.

I will be tracing my development as a photographer and artist, my use of aerial photography and my comparative studies of the intact and industrialized landscape, to find beauty in scenes of industrial devastation, and how these come together to tell an important story about the true cost of oil. The path, as a documentary photographer and artist, has been a journey distilled to become my most personal and robust.
